Writing
Here you'll find a few of my thoughts on a variety of things. Some web tech related, some philosophical, some of a religious nature and some just me trying to process something as honestly as I can.

"The Guy in the Glass"
I attended a dear family friend's memorial recently. A person who really was the salt of the earth. One of his nephews read out the poem, "The Guy in the Glass". It moved me deeply so I thought I'd share it here.

Noisy times
These are strange times for sure and all too often I’m finding myself overly concerned with the future and primarily its potential outworking for my kids. Most of which I have no way of controlling anyway; and yet these thoughts can end up taking up a big chunk of space in my mind and sapping me of energy.

Peter Hart.
Today I lost a very dear friend and I'm still reeling in disbelief. Pete's his name. Peter Hart.

Redesigning in the open
I've decided to take the scary route (for me anyway) of redesigning and developing my website in the open. I've been inspired by others that have done this and thought it may be an interesting process. Not least because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and doing this may be a good way of weaning me off the need to have things completely polished before showing them. 😱

My Front End Resources 2019
I thought it may be nice to list out some of the people, blogs, resources and tools I find myself referring to a fair amount these days while doing the front-end design and developer thing. I'm indebted to many of the people here and am grateful that they've given so generously of their skills, experience and time.

Blood, skin and tech wizardry
I can't help thinking that there’s more at stake here if we merely get wrapped up in creating new technologies just because we can.
-
Reset
It feels like a reset. A reboot on every level. Things I thought I knew for certain, I now question.
-
The Voices
A poem I wrote about the many voices in one's head.
-
Hope
I think real Hope and Faith will show themselves again when we least expect it. That's my hope although very very fragile.
-
Escaping the pickling jar
A poem I wrote.

Where is the love?
How did we get it so wrong to applaud attendance of church meetings and mans endeavours and then declare it to be a community that genuinely loves and lays down its life for its members and the world?

A little perspective at just the right time
I was beginning to think my days in the web designery & developery industry were numbered.
